WIAA Announces Fall Academic State Champions
(RENTON, Wash.) - (October 28, 2009) – The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, Dairy Farmers of Washington, and Les Schwab Tires are proud to announce the Academic State Champions for the 2009 fall sports season. The Scholastic Awards Program recognizes the team with the highest grade point average among all Washington high schools in each enrollment classification.

The Academic State Champions for fall include the following sports: Boys and Girls Cross Country, Football, Girls Swimming and Diving, Boys Soccer (1B and 2B), Girls Soccer, and Volleyball. The winning teams will be presented with a special plaque at the upcoming WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires State Championships. The 2009-10 WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires State Championships kickoff with Boys and Girls Cross Country on November 7 in Pasco.
